The Art Studio started in February 2015 & has developed to 60 people from 5-75+years of age coming regularly to experience the joy of creative expression. Classes are organized for children, young people, adults & run from 10am to 5pm, Monday to Friday with three evening classes on Monday, Tuesday & Thursday from 6.30-9pm.

People are welcome from novices to art GCSE school pupils, students preparing for art degree courses to accomplished adult artists. The Art Studio offers space & resources that can be of great benefit to those keen to develop their artistic talent. Kevin will advise on portfolio presentations for college/university interviews.

Kevin has recently built up the large easel resource to enable painters to come & express themselves in acrylics & oils & table top easels to facilitate watercolour artists & illustrators. You can come for a half day or full day or evening class and get the benefit of The Art Studio & professional tutoring from local artist, Kevin Moore.

Many people find their is great benefit in working in The Art Studio environment where you can meet others who share artistic interests, make friends and interact together. Kevin keeps the costs as low as possible to facilitate very good value for money.

Learn how to draw amazing animal portraits or do some shell art, take the soft toy challenge, tackle a portrait, or one of Kevin’s spontaneous creative exercises, there are plenty of avenues you can go under the tutorship of artist, Kevin who is very willing to help you develop & express your artistic skills.

Enjoy the hub of conversation & interaction, receive guidance & encouragement as appropriate from like-minded artists. Music or the radio is on in the background to give atmosphere as you work. There is always something to talk about whether it is the sporting world or news or politics or the world of art.

In addition, Kevin runs a monthly games evening and a weekly chess club if you want a different form of challenge and relaxation. The games events feature a lot of games that can be played simultaneously and are great fun.

If you enjoy films, Kevin does a regular piece of artwork inspired by the world of cinema and the big screen. Sketchclub on a Thursday evening would be a good class to come to. Sketchclub runs weekly from 6.30-9pm. Young children would be recommended to attend Budding Artists on Mondays, 4.30-5.30pm.
