Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today & forever.  Hebrews 13:8

Salvation is found in no-one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.  Acts 4:12

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.  For by Him all things were created: things in heaven & on earth, visible & invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by Him & for Him.  He is before all things, & all in Him all things hold together.  Colossians 1:15-20

You are no longer foreigners & aliens, but fellow citizens with God’s people & members of God’s household, built on the foundation of the apostles & prophets, with Christ Jesus Himself as the chief cornerstone.  Ephesians 2:19-20

But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near through the blood of Christ.  Ephesians 2:13
God raised us up in Christ & seated us with Him in heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages He might show us the incomparable riches of His grace, expressed in His kindness to us in Christ Jesus.  For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.  Ephesians 2:6 & 10

For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.  Matthew 24:27

At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, & all the nations of the earth will mourn.  They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky, with power & great glory.  And He will send His angels with a loud trumpet call, & they will gather His elect from the far winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.  Matthew 24:30-31

But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, with have fellowship with one another, & the blood of Jesus, His son, purifies us from all sin.  If we confess our sins, He is faithful & just & will forgive us our sins & purify us from all unrighteousness.  1 John 1:7 & 9

You know the message God sent to the people of Israel, telling the good news of peace through the Lord Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all.  How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit & power, & how He went around doing good & healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with Him.  We are witnesses of everything He did in the country of the Jews & in Jerusalem.  They killed Him by hanging Him on a tree, but God raised Him from the dead on the third day & caused Him to be seen.  He was seen by those who ate & drank with Him.  He commanded us to preach to the people & to testify that He is the one whom God appointed as judge of the living & the dead.  All the prophets testify about Him, that everyone who believes in Him receives forgiveness of sins through His name.  Acts 10:36 & 38-43

I turned around to see the voice that was speaking to me.  And when I turned I saw seven golden lampstands, & among the lampstands was someone “like a son of man”, dressed in a robe reaching down to His feet & with a golden sash around His chest.  His head & hair were as white as wool, as white as snow, & His eyes were like blazing fire.  His feet were like bronze glowing in a furnace, & His voice was like the sound of rushing waters.  In His right hand He held seven stars, & out of His mouth came a sharp double-edged sword.  His face was like the sun shining in all of its brilliance.  When I saw Him, I fell at His feet as though dead.  Then He placed His right hand on me & said: “Do not be afraid.  I am the First & the Last.  I am the Living One; I was dead, & behold I am alive for ever & ever!  And I hold the keys of death & Hades.  Revelation 1:12-17

I tell you the truth, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, & whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.  Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by My Father in heaven.  For where two or three are gathered together in My name, there am I with them.  Matthew 18:18:20

I am the way, the truth & the life.  No-one comes to the Father except through Me.  If you really knew Me, you would know My Father as well.  John 14:6-7.  Anyone who has faith in Me will do what I have been doing.  He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.  And I will do whatever you ask in My name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father.  You may ask Me for anything in My name, & I will do it.  John 14:12-14

Christ Jesus who died more than that, who was raised to life is at the right hand of God & is interceding for us.  Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?  Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?  No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.  For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is Christ Jesus our Lord.  Romans 8:34-35, 37 -39

The Lord appeared to Abraham near the great trees of Mamre while he was sitting at the entrance to his tent in the heat of the day.  Genesis 18

My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?  I am a worm not a man, scorned by men & despised by the people.  All who see Me mock Me; they hurl insults, shaking their heads: He trusts in the Lord; let the Lord rescue Him.  Many bulls surround Me; strong bulls of Bashan encircle Me.  Roaring lions tearing their prey open their mouths wide against Me.  I am poured out like water, & all My bones are out of joint.  My heart has tuned to wax; it has melted away within Me.  My strength is dried up like a potsherd, & My tongue sticks to the roof of My mouth; you lay Me in the dust of death.  Dogs have surrounded Me; a band of evil men has encircled Me, they have pierced My hands & My feet.  I can count all My bones; people stare & gloat over Me.  They divide My garments among them & cast lots for my clothing.  But You are Lord, be not far off; O My Strength, come quickly to help Me.  Deliver My life from the sword, My precious life from the power of the dogs.  Rescue Me from the mouth of the lions; save Me from the horns of the wild oxen.  Psalm 22:1a, 6-8, 12-21

Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made Himself  nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.  And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself & became obedient to death even death on a cross!  Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven & on earth & under the earth, & every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.  Philippians 2:5-11

Then the Lord will go out & fight against those nations, as He fights in the day of battle.  On that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, east of Jerusalem, & the Mount of Olives will be split in two from east to west, forming a great valley, with half of the mountain moving north & half moving south.  Then the Lord My God will come, & all the holy ones with Him.  The Lord will be King over the whole earth.  On that day there will be one Lord, & His name the only name.  Jerusalem will be secure…  Zechariah 14:3-4, 5b, 9, 11b

One more powerful than I will come, the thongs of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie.  He will baptise you with the Holy Spirit & fire.  Luke 3:16

Greetings, you who are highly favoured!  The Lord is with you.  Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favour with God.  You will be with child & give birth to a son, & you are to give Him the name Jesus.  He will be great & will be called the Son of the Most High.  The Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David, & He will reign over the house of Jacob for ever, His kingdom will never end.  The Holy Spirit will come upon you, & the power of the Most High will overshadow you.  So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God.  For nothing is impossible with God.  Luke 1:28b, 31-35, 37

When the sun was setting, the people brought to Jesus all who had various kinds of sickness, & laying His hands on each one, He healed them.  Moreover, demons came out of many people, shouting, “You are the Son of God!”  But He rebuked them & would not allow them to speak, because they knew He was the Christ.  Luke 4:40-41

At daybreak Jesus went out to a solitary place.  The people were looking for Him & when they came to where He was, they tried to help Him from leaving them.  But He said, “I must preach the good news of the kingdom of God to other towns also, because that is why I was sent.”  And He kept on preaching in the synagogues of Judea.  Luke 4:42-44

One of these days Jesus went up a mountainside to pray, & spent the night praying to God.  When morning came, He called His disciples to Him & chose 12 of them, whom He designated apostles.  Luke 6:12-13

He went down with them & stood on a level place.  A large crowd … had come to hear Him & to be healed of their diseases.  Those troubled by evil spirits were cured & the people all tried to touch Him, because power was coming from Him & healing them all.  Luke 6:17-19

When the Lord saw her [the widow], His heart went out to her & He said, “Don’t cry.”  Then He went up & touched the coffin, & those carrying it stood still.  He said, “Young man, I say to you get up!”  The dead man sat up & began to talk, & Jesus gave him back to his mother.  Luke 7:13-17

One day Jesus said to His disciples, “Let’s go over to the other side of the lake.”  So they got into a boat & set out.  As they sailed, He fell asleep.  A squall came down on the lake, so that the boat was being swamped, & they were in great danger.  The disciples went & woke Him, saying, “Master, Master, we’re going to drown!”  He got up & rebuked the wind & the raging waters; the storm subsided, & it was calm.  Where is your faith?” He asked His disciples.  In fear  amazement they asked one another, “Who is this?  He commands even the winds & the water, & they obey Him.”  Luke 8:22-25

When Jesus stepped ashore, He was met by a demon possessed man from the town.  For a long time this man had not worn clothes or lived in a house, but had lived in the tombs.  When He saw Jesus, he cried out & fell at His feet, shouting at the of his voice, ‘What do you want with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God?  I beg you, don’t torture me!”  For Jesus had commanded the evil spirit to come out of the man.  Luke 8:26-28

For the Son of Man came to seek & to save what was lost.  [See Luke 19:1-10 – Zacchaeus]

Jesus took Peter, John & James with Him & went up a mountain to pray.  As He was praying, the appearance of His face changed, & His clothes became as bright as a flash of lightning.  Two men, Moses & Elijah, appeared in glorious splendour, talking to Jesus.  They spoke about His departure, which He was about to bring to fulfillment in Jerusalem.  Peter & his companions were very sleepy, but when they became fully awake, they saw His glory & the two men standing with Him.  As the men were leaving Jesus, Peter said to Him, “Master, it is good for us to be here.  Let us put up three shelters one for you, one for Moses & one for Elijah.”  [He did not know what he was saying].  While he was speaking, a cloud appeared & enveloped them, & they were afraid as they entered the cloud.  A voice came from the cloud, saying, “This is My Son, whom I have chosen; listen to Him.”  When the voice had spoken, they found that Jesus was alone.  Luke 9:28-36

The Lord appointed 72 others & sent them out two by two ahead of Him to every town & place where He was about to go.  When you enter a town & are welcomed, eat what is before you.  Heal the sick who are there & tell them, ‘The kingdom of God is near you.’  He who listens to you, listens to Me; He who rejects you, rejects Me; but he who rejects Me rejects Him who sent Me.  The 72 returned with joy & said, “Lord, even the demons submit to us in Your name.”  He replied, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.  I have given you authority to trample on snakes & scorpions & to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.  However, do not rejoice that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.  Luke 10:1, 8-9, 16-20

A man in the crowd called out, “Teacher, I beg You to look at my son, for he is my only son.  A spirit seizes him & he suddenly screams; it throws him in convulsions so that he foams at the mouth.  It scarcely ever leaves him & is destroying him.  I begged your disciples to drive it out, but they could not.  Even while the boy was coming, the demon threw him to the ground in a convulsion.  But Jesus rebuked the evil spirit, healed the boy, & gave him back to his father.  And they were all amazed at the greatness of God.  Luke 9:37-43

“Put out into deep water, & let down the nets for a catch.”  When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to break.  So they signaled to their partners in the other boat to come & help them, & they came & filled both boats so full that they began to sink.  Luke 5:4, 6-7

“Did not the Christ have to suffer these things & then enter His glory?”  And beginning with the Prophets, He explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning Himself.  “This is what I told you while I was with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about Me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets & the Psalms.”  Then He opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures.  He told them, “This is what is written: The Christ will suffer & rise from the dead on the third day, & repentance & forgiveness of sins will be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.  You are chosen witnesses of these things.  I am going to send you what My Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high.”  Luke 24:26-27, 44-49
