Swimathon 2013 for Marie Curie Cancer Care

Dear friends & supporters,

I have registered for this year’s Swimathon in April 2013. I will go into training for this swim from mid January & work towards swimming 5 kilometres in April. I aim to raise awareness of the good work Marie Curie Cancer Care does with the terminally ill, supporting them in their homes with their families. If you would like to support me in this challenge I would be honoured. Please use the link to go to the Swimathon website to sponsor me. I am suggesting people sponsor £1 per kilometre, so for £5 you could sponsor me on this distance swim for such a worthy cause. Whilst swimming the 3 miles lengths I will pray for the Face2Face residential projects for young people called Sketchpad & Checkmate in August & the regular people projects & events happening each week.

Last year I swam the 1 kilometre swim during the Swimathon. I swam a fair bit in the summer in Tenerife whilst on Sabbatical but need to get into training again. I will enjoy the swimming challenge, please pray for me to do well. Above is an early picture I painted whilst at high school. It captures the colours & ripples of the Sir Joseph Williamson Rochester Mathematical School swimming pool where I took various survival badges as a teenager.

THANK YOU, to all those who support me. Kevin
