Exciting start to 2015
Sketchclub got off to a good start on it’s first week back in the new year with an enthusiastic group attending, including 5 new students keen to develop their artistic skills. We had a good discussion on the National Portrait competition that has been recently televised. Kevin facilitates the group with coaching and encouragement, constructive comment & demonstrations. Sketchclub caters for students from 9-80 plus years of age. The group is friendly, welcoming, enthusiastic & keen to learn. If you might be interested give me a call on 01842 750060.
Chess club also began at Thetford Academy after the Christmas interlude. This club caters for people from 7 to 80 plus. ‘The beauty with chess is that it is not age specific so someone of 7 could be a chess prodigy whilst an 80 year old could be a really strong player.’ The club meets on Wednesday evenings from 6.45pm to 8pm [players are asked to arrive from 6.30-6.40pm]. Kevin had some good discussions recently with Tourist Information & has been invited to be part of the Thetford Festival in September 2015.
