A DAY WITH AN ARTIST
Face2Face Educational Trust offers: ‘A Day With An Artist’
I am offering a creative art day in schools to link in with the Art and RE curriculum subjects for junior aged pupils. I offer a flexible day or half day that involves art teaching and coaching, an art quiz, some fun visual activities and icebreakers and a Biblical input linking the with some past masters biblical art work. There will also be an opportunity to produce some group art work in teams. Face2Face Educational Trust, is a Christian Trust that puts on educational projects in schools, clubs and churches in East Anglia and beyond.
I have experience in running art clubs and have taught art to children and adults for many years in Kent and East Anglia. In 2012 I set up, Sketchpad, a 6 day art residential holiday for children that has proved popular over the years with boys and girls from 9-16 years. Later that year I started Sketchclub, a weekly club for 9-80 plus year olds in Thetford, teaching art techniques, styles, colour appreciation, pencil skills and artistic expression. In 2013, I began Paintclub in Thetford, teaching painting skills and brush techniques.

Art is a collaboration between God and the artist, and the less the artist does the better. – Andre Gide
It took me four years to paint like Raphael, but a lifetime to paint like a child– Pablo Picasso
Face2Face Educational Trust offers: ‘A Day With An Artist’
I am an artist experienced in teaching in schools and prisons over many years and running various after school clubs & community clubs for children and adults. I work for Face2Face Educational Trust, a Christian Trust that puts on educational projects in schools, clubs and churches in East Anglia and beyond. I am offering my skills to schools as part of an educational day combining artistic skills and biblical art from the time of Rembrandt, the Dutch portrait artist. The day will fit in with the art and RE curriculum and teach and inform pupils whilst developing their artistic expression.
The day is flexible to fit in with the children in your school; it is educational, fun and mind stretching. If you would be interested in arranging a day or to discuss further details, please contact me. The visits are offered on Mondays or Fridays and bookings can be arranged by phone or email. There is a cost to put the day together so please do discuss the fee for the day to Face2Face Educational Trust when you book, thank you.
