‘Starling Sunset’ is one of the beautiful cards/postcards now available from me. This acrylic art work captures the amazing colours of the sunset and contrasts with the effect of silhouettes against them.
Nature excites me in many ways, the detail, the colours, the sounds, the variety, it is far from boring and as an artist it is a constant source of inspiration. In this butterfly artwork I wanted to contrast the richness of the Peacock & Swallowtail butterflies with the movement in the foliage.
The ‘howling wolf’ against the moonlit sky is a dramatic night art piece. I loved using the blues, purples and lilacs with some soft shadows. The rugged rocks contrast with the moving sky, yet there is the stillness of the night and the loud howling call.
‘Water and Fire’ is a semi abstract artwork in acrylic using bold, vibrant colours and capturing the movement of water and flames of fire. This is a large canvass and contrasts well with other styles of work in The Art Studio.
‘Abstract’ is a very bold piece in dramatic colour and movement. The atmosphere is electric, it captures the tension, the debates and arguments, how emotions rise and sometimes blow and how families and friends are divided. I wonder what can it be?
