Learn how to draw with artist Kevin Moore working alongside you guiding you on a discovery of the wonder of drawing. Learn how to construct a portrait, various helpful techniques, how to draw at speed and use experiment with different types of media. The Great Dane portrait on A3 was done in 70 minutes using graphite. Kevin runs lessons from Monday to Thursday including two evening clubs if unable to come in the day. Watercolour Washes – Mondays & Tuesdays from 1.30-4.30pm [weekly]
New sessions, aimed at people who enjoy watercolours and watercolour pencils, sessions are £5, ideal for 18-80 years
Paintclub – Monday evenings from 6.30-9pm [weekly]
Developing club for 9-75 plus year olds on Monday evening. You can draw and paint, come along and enjoy! A growing club that incorporates folk who want to draw and paint or any combination. Some people maybe doing the Drawing or Painting Courses.
Small group with Kevin learning as he demonstrates how to master the pencil. Recently we have tackled a celebrity portrait, still life drawing & a wolf. Some people may be doing the Drawing Course.

Wednesday evenings The Art Studio becomes a logic solving chess club!
In January 2001, Kevin set up the Thetford Youth & Community Chess Club at the Thetford Academy. The chess club caters for children and adults & is now based at The Art Studio on Wednesday evenings.

Artists Gallery Show – Week to fortnight long galleries [every 12 months]
37 local artists exhibited work in the first Gallery Exhibition over the Easter holidays from 9-75 years of age. It was a lovely exhibit with over 120 pieces of work on display from oils to graphite drawing, acrylics to watercolours, pen illustrations to watercolour pencils.
The next gallery will be from November and will offer artwork for sale.

Kevin is an artist and chess player, he enjoys good music, films, sport and is versatile in conversation. He is passionate about art and has many years teaching experience with children, young people and adults. Kevin set up The Art Studio in February 2015. In the first year over 140 people attended The Art Studio for art and chess related sessions.
